Indications:

For the treatment of theileriosis (east coast fever) particularly for advanced cases with pulmonary oedema buparvaquone kills theilerial schizonts (in lymphoid cells) and piroplasms (in red blood cells) and it supresses preschizont stages during the incubation period of disease buparvaquone kill the parasite through its actions on their mitochondrial electron transport (respiratory) system. Furosemide is a diuretic, which resolves pulmonary oedema.

Combination of other antiprotozoal agent.
